Home to Grammy Award winning, American Idol and Apollo Theater winning singers.
Kate Baker offers private lessons and workshop intensives in vocal technique and repertoire development.
Kate’s contemporary vocal technique is an accumulation of over 25 years of training and performance. Kate is a master in vocal pedagogy, beginning with the Art of Bel Canto to the Masters of Voice Science. She enables students to develop the most up to date contemporary music singing technique. As the mind and body is the instrument, the influence of Alexander technique, yoga and Feldenkrais methods are intertwined. Your instrument will increase in range, sound will become free and resonant and tone will develop with colors and dimension.
Lessons are held in Greenwich Village, NYC and West Orange, NJ or by Skype for out of town students. Classes are an hour, 45 minutes or a half hour and longer if needed.
E-mail for more info. To get started, fill out Kate's basic student questionnaire.
